Member Budgets

On organization plans, owners and admins can cap how many credits each member may spend per billing period. This stops a single member from consuming the whole workspace allowance, while letting you set anyone to Unlimited.

Who can use this, and where

Member budgets live under Settings → Budgets (the page is titled “Member Budgets”). Access depends on both your plan and your role:

Available onTeam, Growth, and Enterprise plans
Who can set themWorkspace owners and admins only
Lower plansThe page shows an 'Available on Team & up' upgrade prompt
Non-adminsThe page is read-only: 'Only workspace admins can manage member budgets'
Note:On Starter and Pro, per-member budgets are not available — the page links you to Billing to upgrade. The feature unlocks at Team and above.

Setting per-member caps

Each workspace member appears with an editable per-period credit cap. Setting a member to Unlimited removes their cap entirely.

  1. Open Settings → Budgets

From the sidebar, expand Settings and choose Budgets.
  2. Find the member

Locate the teammate whose spending you want to cap in the member list.
  3. Set a credit cap

Enter the number of credits that member may spend per billing period — or set them to Unlimited.
  4. Save

Your change applies to the current period; the member is stopped once they reach their cap.

If budgets are locked on your plan

If your workspace is on Starter or Pro, the Budgets page shows a locked state: “Available on Team & up”, explaining that per-member credit budgets are available on Team, Growth, and Enterprise, with a View plans link to Billing.

Worked example: capping a new teammate

Example · Keep one member from draining the allowance

Your org is on the Growth plan (40,000 credits / period, 10 seats). You add a new analyst and want to make sure their experimentation does not eat the whole pool.

  • As an admin, you open Settings → Budgets.
  • You set the analyst's cap to 3,000 credits per period.
  • You leave your finance lead on Unlimited because their work is mission-critical.

The analyst can now run agents freely up to 3,000 credits; once they hit it, their runs stop while the rest of the workspace keeps going.
