Connectors (Business Central & Dynamics)
Kanso connects to Microsoft Business Central and Dynamics to pull live data into datasets. This page explains how to set up a connection, browse the available tables, and keep syncs healthy.
What connectors do
Connectors link Kanso to Microsoft Business Central and Dynamics so that live data flows into your datasets. Instead of exporting and importing files, you connect once and pull the data you need directly from your ERP.
Setting up a connection
Setup uses OAuth, and Kanso auto-discovers the available environments and companies for you, so you pick from a list rather than typing identifiers by hand.
- •
Authenticate with OAuth
Sign in through OAuth to authorize Kanso to connect to Business Central or Dynamics. - •
Pick an environment
Choose from the environments Kanso auto-discovers rather than entering them manually. - •
Pick a company
Select the company you want to connect, again from the discovered list.
Browsing tables and fields
A table browser discovers the available entities so you can choose exactly what you need. You pick the tables and fields both when configuring the connector and when building a dataset from it.
- The table browser discovers the entities that are available to you
- Select the tables and fields you need in the connector
- Select tables and fields again when building a dataset
Connection scope
Connections are scoped per company. Each company has its own connections, keeping ERP data cleanly separated between them.
Sync reliability
Syncs are transaction-safe, and per-request failures are retried automatically so transient problems do not derail a sync. If a connection ends up in an errored state, it is reported in the daily email digest.
