The Analytics Engine
Kanso has its own dashboard and analysis engine. It works on the data your quality system already holds, plus the ERP data you connect, with SQL, Python and R available when a chart is not enough.
Datasets and refresh
Analysis in Kanso starts with datasets. A dataset is built with a transform pipeline that shapes and cleans the source data, and it can refresh on a schedule so dashboards stay current.
Charts and dashboards read from datasets, so two charts built on the same dataset show the same numbers.
Visualize and explore
There are 19 chart types, including bar, line, combo, heatmap and choropleth map. A dashboard on screen is interactive:
- Global, per-widget and cross-filters narrow the whole board or one chart.
- Clicking a value drills down from the summary into the detail behind it.
- Excel and PDF export let you share results outside Kanso.
SQL, Python and R
Analysts can go below the visual builder. SQL mode shows the SQL the engine generates for a chart and lets you edit it, so you can see how the numbers are produced and change them by hand.
- Python and R script widgets run your own analysis on the data.
- The Data Lab reads datasets for exploratory work.
Ask, schedule, and template
A dashboard AI agent lets you ask a board questions in plain English and answers from its data. Report subscriptions email a report on a schedule. Report templates give a new dashboard a structure to start from.
Trust and reconciliation
Kanso includes control totals you can reconcile against the source system, so a figure on a dashboard can be traced back and checked.
