Notifications & Inbox

Kanso keeps people informed with a real notification center inside the app and a daily email digest for the things that matter most. This page explains how notifications, the Inbox, and the digest work together.

The notification center

Kanso has a real notification center, available both as a bell dropdown and as a dedicated Notifications page. Both update in real time, so new items appear as they happen without a refresh.

Inbox and Reminders

The Notifications page is split into two tabs so you can separate what has happened from what is coming up.

InboxNotifications about things that need your attention.
RemindersUpcoming items surfaced ahead of time.

Clearing an item archives it, so your active list stays focused on what still needs a look.

Click-through to the record

Each notification type maps to an icon and a route. The icon tells you at a glance what kind of item it is, and clicking a notification takes you straight to the record it refers to.

Tip:Because every notification carries its own route, you rarely have to go hunting — one click lands you on the exact record.

The daily email digest

A daily email digest summarizes what needs attention so the important items reach people even when they are not in the app.

  • Watchtower flags
  • Overdue training
  • Any errored connector syncs

Sending these by email means the items that matter are not missed simply because someone has not opened Kanso that day.

Per-user scoping

Notifications are always scoped to the individual user. Each person sees the notifications that are relevant to them, keeping the notification center personal rather than shared.

Note:Because scoping is per user, one person clearing or reading a notification does not affect what anyone else sees.
